Installation
This advanced reader is designed for seamless integration with our high-performance controller range, including the SDC-650 Multiple Door Controller, SDC-620 Wiegand Door Controller, and SDC-320 Wiegand Two Door Controller. It also supports connectivity with the SEB-722 Remote I/O Expansion Board, enabling flexible system expansion and scalable access control deployment.
Operation
When a user presents an access card or tag, or enters a PIN via the touchpad, the reader captures the credential data and securely transmits it to the door controller for verification against predefined access rules. The controller processes the request and determines the appropriate access decision, which is then communicated back to the reader. The reader provides clear user feedback through the LCD display and audible buzzer signals, indicating the final access status in real time.
About the product
The SSR-250-DKP is an advanced 320×240 full-colour LCD touchscreen display and proximity reader, designed for seamless integration with SDC controllers via our proprietary RS-485 network. This intelligent device supports a standard 125 kHz operating frequency, enabling compatibility with a wide range of transponder technologies, including Hitag™ 1, Hitag™ 2, and HT4102. For enhanced versatility, an optional 13.56 MHz high-frequency card reading capability is also available.
The SSR-250-DKP features an intuitive Time & Attendance ON/OFF duty function, which can be optionally enforced depending on system requirements. It also includes an integrated keypad with a secure “scramblepad” function for improved PIN entry protection.
To enhance user interaction, the device is equipped with a built-in piezo buzzer, providing clear audible feedback for successful card reads, key inputs, and other system events, ensuring a responsive and user-friendly experience.
