Remote I/O RF Door Expansion Board
Product Code: SEB-721
The SEB-721 Remote I/O RF Door Expansion Board is a cutting-edge addressable expansion device that extends the Input and Output capabilities of the SDC-650 Multiple Door Controller and SDC-620 Wiegand Door Controller and utilizes code-hopping or rolling code 433MHz RF remote transmitters instead of proximity card or biometric readers.
The device attaches onto the RS-485 Reader Network of the SDC-650 or SDC-620 Controllers thereby enabling the relocation of inputs and outputs closer to the door that can help mitigate significant voltage drops when the controller is mounted further away.
With the capacity to use up to 4 buttons on a single remote, each button can be allocated to perform a different function.
Featuring 2 relay outputs and 4 programmable digital inputs, this device is incredibly versatile.
Employing remote control access instead of proximity card or biometric readers provides greater
flexibility, particularly for scenarios where access points don’t provide adequate weather protection.
Remotes are allocated to users in the same way as normal RF tags or biometric templates in the SACS Connect Software. Furthermore, remote management from SACS enables scheduling, anti-passback, and zone control capabilities.
The SEB-721 Remote I/O RF Door Expansion Board allows for recording of transactions, improving upon typical gate remotes where no transactions are logged.
This device can support up to 30,000 or more remotes and can control up to 4 access points,
making it the perfect solution for organizations seeking a higher flexibility for their security solution.

About the product
The SEB-721 Remote I/O RF Door Expansion Board is an addressable expansion device that attaches onto the RS-485 Reader Network of the SDC-650 Multiple Door Controller and SDC-620 Wiegand Door Controller. This device provides additional Input and Output points for the Controllers.
It can be used as a remote door controller thus avoiding voltage loss for the I/O of a remotely situated door. It can also be used as a remote connection point for additional I/O.
The device contains 2 x relay outputs (internal and external mode) and 4 x digital inputs.
The on-board RF module is used as a reader for code-hopping or rolling-code RF remotes.
This unit offers the flexibility of using a remote control transmitter as opposed to a proximity card or biometric reader with the benefit of operating it from inside a vehicle. This solution is great for access points where automatic vehicle traffic barriers are used without adequate weather protection or for automatic gate motors… but with the benefit that all transactions are recorded unlike normal gate remotes where no transaction is logged.
The remotes are allocated to users from central locations using the SACS software in much the same manner as with a normal RF tag or biometric template, making the usual access permission levels like scheduling, anti-passback and zone control available.
The device supports up to 30 000 or more remotes and controls up to 4 access points (1- 4 buttons & 2 additional outputs on the system controller)
If you’re looking to expand the capabilities of your access control system, the SEB-721 Remote RF I/O Expansion Board is an ideal solution.
Installation
The SEB-721 offers a seamless integration with both the SDC-650 and SDC-620 Controllers, providing an expanded and flexible access control solution that can be tailored to meet the unique needs of your organization.
Communication with the SDC-650 or SDC-620 Controllers is seamless, facilitated by the RS-485 Reader Network through the onboard connector. Each device is assigned a unique device address via an onboard rotary switch. Once communication is established, the SDC-650 or SDC-620 Controller will detect the device and indicate this connection status on the controller LCD display in the configuration section. Managing access control configurations for doors, readers, and more becomes effortless using the intuitive SACS software.
For a trouble-free installation experience, diagnostic LEDs are strategically placed close to their relevant terminals, providing valuable support and guidance. End-of-line resistors can be effortlessly integrated into the RS-485 Reader Network circuit using the indicated jumpers, eliminating the need for external terminating resistors.
The dual-mode relays can be set as powered outputs or potential-free relays (using the indicated jumpers), for you to easily switch any lock or electrical device, ensuring maximum control and flexibility over your access control infrastructure.
Operation
The SEB-721 Remote I/O RF Door Expansion Board operates by connecting to the RS-485 Reader Network ports on the SDC-650 Multiple Door Controller or SDC-620 Wiegand Controller and expands the remote input, output and access control capabilities of the Controller. Once connected and configured, the SEB-721 can receive inputs from external devices, such as door contacts or motion sensors, and send outputs to devices such as locks or buzzers.
In addition, it facilitates the use of RF Remote Transmitters for controlling access at the remote location.
Our team of experts can provide guidance on selecting the optimal configuration for your organization’s unique requirements.
